Senior League Rules

Remember – “Good Sportsmanship Always”

We follow WIAA rules with these additions:

1. Ten players will play the field at any given time - unlimited substitutions. Less than seven (7) players available will result in a forfeit.

2. The games will be 6 innings with a time limit of 1 hour and 20 minutes.  

        NO new innings will begin after 1 hour and 20 minutes.

3. If bad weather causes a game to be suspended, five (5) complete innings will be considered a full game.

4. Stealing or bunting is allowed.

5. Runner cannot leave base until ball leaves the pitcher’s hand.

6. All team members who are present will bat in order.

7. Five (5) runs will be allowed per inning except for the last inning where a team may score as often as possible until they have three (3) outs.

8. There will be a 10-run rule.  After the 5th inning, if one team has a 10-run lead, the game is finished.

9. The decision of the umpire is always final.

10. There will be walks after the 4th ball.

11. When the pitcher has the ball inside the circle, runners must advance to the next base or return to her base.

12. Pitchers will only be allowed to pitch four (4) innings per game.  Only the starting pitcher can re-enter the game to resume pitching.

13. All players who attend practice will play a minimum of three (3) innings.

14. Players must slide if being played on.  It is the umpire’s discretion if a play is being made.  (Encourage your players to always slide; it will     save a lot of problems).

15. No trading players after teams are chosen.

16. When showing the bunt, batter must bunt, batter cannot pull back and swing.  Batter can pull back if it is a ball.
